Notes from GB.
My friend, Nancy Siegler alerted me to Andy’s photos. I’d seen a couple of them before, but not stopped to take the time and see more of his work. Well, his work is rather good, if you ask me. Go have a look at some of his great shots at http://andyguibord.zenfolio.com/. You won’t be disappointed. His […]
I just received sad news that my friend, Jack Charlton, died on June 9th. He was a reel designer and builder of unmatched ability. Another friend, Capt. Jake Jordan, wrote a great eulogy for Jack, and I share it here with you. The passing of my friend Jack Charlton: On Friday morning June 10, I […]
Jason and I have received the page proofs from our printers and are busy examining them. They will go back to the printers in a couple of days, and then the book will officially be “in the works.” We will, of course post the estimated release date and other pertinent information right here and on […]
I will appear on Roger Maves Show–www.AskAboutFlyFishing.com tonight, February 2, 2011, Ground Hog Day, at 7pm Mountain Time. We will be discussing Fishing the Film and other topics. Let’s hope I get it all right the first time so I don’t have to do it endlessly until I do. See you then.

Pete had been diagnosed with cancer in 2009 and had beaten it, being declared cancer-free in 2010. Pete will be remembered by many in the fly tying community. […]
I will be at the Denver Fly Fishing Show held at the Merchandise Mart this Friday through Sunday. Please come and say Hi if your in the area. I will be available each day at the author’s booth to sign books, and there will be copies of my new book “Fishing the Film” available at […]
Perhaps you don’t know him by name, but you know his face. Arnold Richardson was “Norman” at the end of “A River Runs Through It.” A dedicated fly fisher, and as much in love with the sport as Norman or Paul, his aged face was the perfect embodiment of Norman. You can read his full […]
In the olden days, one was sent to the woodshed to receive a good spanking for disobedience. Well, I’ve been to the woodshed, but not for punishment. Rather, for a work of love. Nancy is a creator of wood art on the lath, and needed a place to store her wood. She generously allowed me […]
Jason is having a Christmas special sale on his designer T-shirts. I love mine and will be ordering a few more myself. The info is below. Jason’s Designer T’s (from his FF&W Blog) Yes, I suppose that FF&W should jump on the “Black Friday” bandwagon and offer something (we don’t have much) for a special […]
